When asked if her husband Joel Madden ever weighs in on her style, Richie laughed. “No!” she told PEOPLE. “He just noticed I had bangs. He noticed those a year ago and we’ve been together for seven years. I’m still waiting for everything from the neck down. He just noticed my bangs.
As it turns out, this is actually bangs phase II. The first time around, she was going through a rebellious phase, which is now filed under her most cringeworthy style moments.
“My parents didn’t want me to have bangs,” she said — adding that she cut them anyway. “Then, after realizing I had curly hair — because I was too young to realize I’d actually have to blow dry my bangs — I had curly bangs for a year. That was fun.”
And though you’ll see the high-fashion side of the star in her AOL series, at home, she can’t get out of her designer duds fast enough. “When I’m home I do not wear regular clothes. All I wear is sweats. Everything comes off, the shoes, jeans, the jewelry,” she said. “I do not wear clothes in my house.”
Significant others not noticing our haircuts? Living in sweatpants? We knew we had a lot in common with Richie.
